The Caisse Nationale de Santé (CNS) has reported a significant reduction in refund waiting times for medical bills, reaching historic lows.
Thanks to the introduction of the Paiement immédiat direct (PID) system and the addition of part-time staff, one-fifth of all refund requests are now processed within one week.
More complex cases have seen their processing time cut from 7-10 weeks to 5-6 weeks while refunds for international treatments may take up to 12 weeks.
